The hotel is very close to the airport, so it takes only 5 mins to get there. We asked for our cottage to be on the main floor instead of being in the second floor so we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. We thought we were getting our own private pool, turns out that only the cottages for two people can have the private pool (one large bed) we had our child so we couldn't get the room with a private pool. But the pool was just steps away from our own private cottage so it wasn't too bad. Koh Samui is a large island, our beach was quite and the tide goes out. There is really no night life near the hotel. The beach is not walkable, you will need beach shoes as the barnacles are very sharp so never walk on the beach without any beach shoes. I cut myself and many people have as well as its very sharp. The beach is a paradise as we had one of the best sunsets which the tide out.. there are two large Buddha temples walking distance from the resort. The breakfast is lovely. The menu is very limited and they are not flexible to make anything. We can only order what's in the menu so its limiting if you dont want to wander out of the hotel to try some food, but the food is very good. We just accepted the fact we didnt feel like walking in the dark outside of the hotel so we ate what was available in the hotel. There are couple of hotels accessible from the beach but they are pretty much the same food. So if you want variety venturing out of the hotel to the town (walking distance 10 minutes) is the way to go. There you'll also find beach to sit on.. since the resort beach doesn't exist. The rooms are comfortable, we get fresh water so its no issue. The hotel arranged trips for us but they dont really speak English which was a huge barrier. We had to download the Thai language app and talk otherwise they dont understand English.

Everything. As soon as you enter the hotel with its wooden deck shaded by palm trees, it looks and feels fabulous. The view from the pool terrace is amazing. Breakfast was of a high standard with lots of choice. The pool and pool area is great, lots of room, lots of beach towels for your use, and a well stocked and reasonably priced bar, which also served very fresh and tasty Thai and Western foods. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Nearby, within a short walk, are local restaurants and Bangrak pier. I recommend the bar restaurant Pink salt across from the pier, great host, fabulous food, and lovely cocktails. The hotel is a short taxi ride from Choeng Ming beach, Chaweng a little further. There are two fantastic temples to visit close to the hotel, both ten minutes easy walk. The hotel is close to the airport. This was the best hotel we stayed in and really good value for money.

WOW! I cannot believe this had the rating it did. I could compare this to the all inclusive resorts in Mexico and it would win hands down. I had the sea front villa and to say I was beyond pleased would even be an understatement. The location is more removed from the "busy-ness" of the island but I actually preferred that. The view is hands down a "million dollar view" so good in fact I didn't even feel the need to leave the "resort". The room was spacious and comfortable, I slept like a baby and took hot showers which was a WIN! The breakfast was PERFECTION! I actually stayed an extra night because I loved it so much (would have stayed more but sadly my room was booked after that). This is a little pricier than the "basic Thailand hotel" BUT SO WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!

The staff was very welcoming. Our comfort was the staffs number one priority regardless of where we were in the facility. The room was touched up daily, with fresh water bottles always stocked, especially in Samui's humid weather. Sasitara Thai villas is in close walking distance to big attractions like Wat Plai laem (2 minutes walking ), big golden Buddha (12 minutes short walk), and for extra comfort there's a 7/11 (3 minutes). There's a buffet for breakfast, free with your stay. There's a huge variety of foods, fruits , and drinks. The food changes daily and every night we looked forward to breakfast. The room was even better in person than what the pictures showed. The staff is great and if visiting Koh Samui, I would easily stay here again.

The swimming pool is very nice (it’s not as big as the photos make out, but good and picturesque), restaurant food/cocktails excellent and friendly breakfast + restaurant staff. Free Kayaking was an added bonus and enjoyable - the restaurant staff helped carry the Kayak. There were also some other good restaurants nearby. Good AC in rooms. Great sunsets looking across the pool and beach.
